Celebration of Shab-e-Barat

Assalamualaikum
Dear Brothers and sisters, today i discuss about celebration of shab-e-barat.
Is it bid'ah or not?
Is it permissible in Islam or not?
what is the history behind shab-e-barat?
Is there any authenticate Hadith or Quranic verse about shab-e-barat?
What prophet Muhammad (pbuh) says about this kind of Innovation or bid'ah?

Praise to be Allah who has perfected our religion for us.
The word Bid'ah comes from the Persian word. Imam shafi said about the definition of bida'h:"A bid'ah is anything which has no basis in the Al-Qur'an or Sunnah or the companions of prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Why Muslims calls shab-e-barat is bid'ah?
Because when a prayer will not proved from prophet Muhammad(pbuh) then it is called bida'h.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said- "every ennovation is  misguidenceand going to astray" Abu dawood(4607) Tirmidhee(2676).

And he (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) also said: "… and every innovation is misguidance and all misguidance is in the Hellfire." Reported by an-Nasaa'ee (1/224) from Jaabir bin Abdullaah and it is saheeh as declared by Shaikh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah in Majmoo' ul-Fataawaa (3/58).

Is there any authentic Qur'anic verse or Hadith from Prophet Muhammad relating to celebrate shab-e-barat?
No, there is no Qur'anic verse or pure Hadith relating to shab-e-barat. All hadiths relating to shab-e-barat are fabricated or weak.

Some people or scholars of Indian Sub-continent say that "4th verse of chapte 44 of the Al Qur"an says about Shab-e-barat. But most of the prominent scholars say that this verse relating to shab-e-Qadr not Shab-e-barat.

"In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom" verse-4, chapter-44.

Can we celebrate it or not?
Above discussion we understand that it is innovation pr bid'ah. And it is not permissible in Islam
If  Prophet would celebrate it then we celebrate it. So he didn't and we will not do it.

Allah says in the Qur'an-"what prophet gives you , take it and what prophet says  refrain from doing something,reject it." verse-7 Chapter-59.

What is the History behind Shab-e-barat?
In the Arab world, Shab-e-barat was celebrated in 448 in Baitul Muakkaddas and it was continued 352 years and then it was abolished from Arab world but it do not abolish from Indian Sub-Continent such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.

We ask Allaah to help us and all the Muslims adhere firmly to the Sunnah and to beware of everything that goes against it, He is most Generous and Kind.
