Here I discuss about common questions of Islam. Islam is an absolute religion comes from Allah (swt) like ahlul kitab’s religion such as Christianity and Judaism. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world still now.

What is Islam?

Islam is a religion but it has a great value. It is not only a religion but also complete code of life. Complete code of life means “you will get in Islam all kinds of rules about your life.” You can’t compare any other religion with Islam.

What do you mean the word Islam?

The word Islam comes from the word ‘salaam ’which means peace and the word ‘salam’ comes from the word ‘silm’ which also means ‘peace’. Generally Islam means ‘submission’. So Islam means ‘peace acquired by complete submission of will to Allah (swt)’.

How a human becomes Muslim?

A man becomes Muslim by simply saying the Arabic sentence “laa ilaaha illalahu muhammadur rasulullah” which English translation is  “there is no god but Allah and prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah (swt).”By this declaration he becomes new Muslim, express his faith in all Allah’s messengers and the scriptures they brought.

What do Muslims believe?

Muslims believe in One unique, incomparable God which unique name is Allah (swt) and prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by which revelation were brought to mankind. Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment and also believe in Books of Allah (swt) such as Taorat, jobur, ingil, and quran. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets staring from Adam(as) and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, David ,Solomon, Elias, Jonah, Jesus(peace be upon them).

"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)."

(Qur'an, Al-'Imran 3:84)

The message which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad is Islam in its comprehensive, complete and final form.

"Let there be no compulsion in Religion: truth stands out clear from error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah (one God) has grasped the most trustworthy hand hold that never breaks. and Allah hears, and knows all things."(Qur'an, Al-Baqarah 2:256)
